the User Group Hall of Fame has been
suspended.
"Recognizing those who have made
a difference in the user group community"
The User Group Hall of Fame has the unique distinction of recognizing those special
individuals in the world who have made outstanding contributions or advancements
to the community of computer clubs and computer user groups.
Who will be Honored?
This honor will be given to Nominees, selected for induction by the UG Academy Board
of Directors, based on nominations and popular vote of the general user group community.
__ Each nominee to be voted into the Hall of Fame will
be recognized with a plaque to be displayed locally by the nominating user group,
and an honorarium web page featured in the User Group Hall of Fame Web Site. (Both
in the User Group Academy and the User Group Network.)
How will they be inducted?

- 1. Identification
- __ Take a moment and ask who has significantly ontributed
to the user group community at large over the years. Who made the most sacrifices...
served the general community unselfishly. Nominees can be user group celebrities,
officers, industry personalities, or any other individual, living or deceased, who
is deserving of a position in the User Group Hall of Fame.

- 2. Nomination
- Any person can nominate a candidate, using the UG Hall of Fame Nomination Form,
or by written letter of nomination. The nomination ideally should be the results
of a motion proposed by an officer or board of director of a user group -- but doesn't
necessarily have to be. Once a nomination is made, the UG Academy Board of Directors
and Board of Visitors will determine an annual slate of candidates to be ratified
by the general membership.

- 3. Induction
- Upon establishment of the annual slate of candidates, the names will be posted
to a public voting poll where user group members, officers, and interesteds may enter
and vote. At the end of the annual induction period, the final inductees will be
announced.

- 5. Get Started
- The above information is the only information you need to get started. Proceed
directly to the Nomination form to enter your nomination.

- 6. Deadlines:
- Nominations may be made at any time during the year.
__ Nominations for induction in the next calendar year
will be selected no later than the FIRST OF OCTOBER of each year. Voting will occur
during October, November and until December 15th. Final, formal induction announcements
are to be made in January of the following calendar year.
