" __ Two happy 9th graders no longer have to worry about recording and administrating the 9th grade and junior varsity sports statistics on paper! __ Usually stats have to be written by hand, and transcribed into the computer later -- now they have instant stats right there on the field, using one of the new iBook notebook computers. __ Edith Lynch, Mathematics, and softball coach assures... The award-winning Dulaney newspaper "The Griffin" also gets a boost from the iBook loaner program. Chris Chacko, managing editor for The Griffin, (at right) uses Excel, PowerPoint, Word, in management and Frank Costantino, Editor, designs and edits on-site news using PageMaker. Students produce the entire newsletter, from scratch each month including layout, photography and pre-press production. The iBooks are perfect for over-weekend assignments, and news actualities.
