Barry Crawshaw Web Master

The NorthWest of Us web site, mastered by Barery Crawshaw, is an excellent example of "organization" web design. Many sites try to be too commercial, falling prey to the "dot-com" mentality. In this case however, TNWoU's Web site fills the challenge of a membership site with flying colors. Its calendar and Special Interest Group pages are updated almost daily, and the site's Web Links are extensive enough for use as a portal to the Web. The site is primarily text based for speed of loading with links to photos for those who wish to view them. Members-only pages offer discounts, a "help" list of members willing to help other members resolve hardware and software problems, access instructions for TNWoU's eNews services and guidelines for submitting articles for publication in TNWoU's award winning monthly newsletter, NorthWest PASSAGES. It's all put together on a Macintosh G3 using PageMill and BBEdit Lite.
