2000 User Group Academy Awards Best in Show: Newsletter Design Medium User Group Category Hawaii Macintosh and Apple User's Society Honolulu HI Becky Collins Editor The Hawaii Macintosh and Apple User's Society produces a consistently excellent newsletter. Judges pointed out the Signal's excellent use of typography, design and liberal use of white space -- making it handsome, and easy to read. Each of the sampled issues followed layout and design discipline, and presented well written editorial information covering member needs in many categories. The January, 2000 issue features a cartoon creation by HMAUS member, Ed Guthrie. The Spring 2000 issue features cover cartoon by HMAUS member Rob Art Morgan. Graphic design by another HMAUS member, Ruth Ushijima.
